Brutalism is a much-misunderstood beast, it inspires hate/love/fear wherever it makes its footprint felt – but with a recent resurgence of interest in the slouching behemoths, from popular press, Twitter feeds and Brutalist-spotting tourism maps – crystallising in the launch of a new photography book, This Brutal World – it seems a revolutionary reappraisal is in order.
